    Overview

Embark on a captivating journey to the historic Rajmachi Fort and the ancient Kondhane Caves. Nestled in the scenic Sahyadri mountains, Rajmachi is a trekker’s paradise, offering a blend of adventure and history. Standing tall at 2,750 feet, Rajmachi Fort overlooks the Bhorghat Pass, a vital trade route during the Maratha Empire. The fort, built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the 17th century, houses two majestic forts, Manoranjan and Shrivardhan, alongside ancient temples and a serene lake.

The trek also takes you to the Kondhane Caves, a group of 16 Buddhist caves dating back to the 1st century B.C. The intricate carvings of Buddhist architecture are awe-inspiring, especially during the monsoon when waterfalls cascade from the top of the caves, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.
