Overview

The Baglan region in Maharashtra is home to some of the highest and most historic forts in the state. The Salher-Salota-Mulher-Mora-Hargad trek offers a thrilling 2-day adventure through the rugged terrain of the Sahyadris. Standing tall at 5,141 ft, Salher is the highest fort in Maharashtra and holds great historical significance as the site of the largest battle between the Marathas and Mughals in 1671. The trek allows participants to explore multiple forts, each offering stunning views, ancient ruins, and a connection to Maharashtra's storied past. With a mix of challenging and easy sections, this trek is perfect for seasoned trekkers looking for a comprehensive experience in the Baglan region.

Itinerary:

Day 0 (Friday Night):

  • 05:30 AM: Arrival at Base Village.

Day 1 (Saturday):

  • 06:00 AM: Freshen up and have breakfast
  • 07:00 AM: Start trekking to Salher Fort
  • 09:30 AM: Reach Salher top, explore the fort
  • 10:30 AM: Proceed to Salota Fort
  • 01:30 PM: Reach Salota top, have packed lunch
  • 03:00 PM: Begin descending
  • 05:30 PM: Reach base village and move towards Mulher base
  • 06:30 PM: Arrival at Mulher base, relax
  • 09:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2 (Sunday):

  • 05:30 AM: Wake up and get ready
  • 06:00 AM: Breakfast
  • 06:30 AM: Begin ascending Hargad Fort
  • 08:30 AM: Reach Hargad top, explore
  • 09:00 AM: Descend and move towards Mulher Fort
  • 10:30 AM: Reach Mulher Fort, explore
  • 11:30 AM: Proceed to Moragad
  • 12:00 PM: Reach Moragad and explore, have packed lunch
  • 01:00 PM: Begin descending
  • 03:30 PM: Reach base village and depart for Mumbai
  • 11:30 PM: Approximate arrival in Mumbai

Rules and Regulations:

  • Alcohol, Smoking, or any intoxicant is strictly prohibited during the trek. If found, the participant will be terminated on the spot. ๐Ÿšซ
  • Throwing garbage on trails is strictly not allowed. ๐Ÿšฎ
  • Playing loud music in the mountains/Forest is prohibited. ๐ŸŽถ
  • Trek Leader's decisions on any particular situation will be final for the mutual benefit of the participants. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ
  • During the monsoon season and various rock patches on the trek route, we recommend you to please take care while walking/climbing/trekking. โš ๏ธ
  • If the behavior of any trekker is likely to cause distress or harm to themselves, our member of staff or other team members, reserve the right to terminate their trip at any time and they will have to make their own arrangements; we will not be liable for any expenses incurred as a result. We will not entertain any claims arising due to such action. ๐Ÿšซ
  • In case of any injuries/illness on a mountain/river/waterfall during a trip/activity, Adventure Club Pune as a company or our local staff will not be responsible. We provide adequate human staff support in these areas to ensure the basic safety of the trekker. The participants must bear all the expenses that may arise in case of medical necessity or emergency conditions. โš•๏ธ
  • Wearing any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. is prohibited. ๐Ÿ’Ž
  • You should strictly follow the code of conduct, to avoid troubling our fellow trekkers or other people from our group or outside. ๐Ÿ‘ฅ
