Sandhan is located near Bhandardara region village called Samrad and is a deep narrow rock floored ravine between the two high walls of mountain range. Sandhan valley is one of the greatest canyons in the Sahyadri mountain ranges. You will get to make a descent towards the Sandhan valley which will make for a memorable outing and overnight stay under the sparkling sky, along the reservoir side! Explore temples from the 7th century, the Peshwa temples, and the natural gorge called Sandan.

 

DEPARTURE/RETURN LOCATION  :

Bank of Maharshtra, Shivajinagar for Punekars at 11 PM on Friday night And Kasara railway Station for Mumbaikars. Those who will opt for pickup from kasara will have to reach kasara by own at 1:30 am. Saturday  early morning.

Itinerary :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Travellers from Mumbai are supposed to join us at kasara railway station  by 1:30 am.                       Travel up to Kasara by Local Train timings given below.Pune people will have pickup from Shivajinagar at 11 PM on Friday night.

 

Day 1 – Friday Night

Catch the CST-Kasara train as per the timings mentioned.

10: 50 PM – CST

10: 57 PM – Byculla

11: 05 PM – Dadar

11: 13 PM – Kurla

11: 18 PM – Ghatkopar

11: 34 PM – Thane

11: 57 PM – Dombivali

12: 07 AM – Kalyan

01: 18 AM – Kasara

Day 2 –  Saturday

01:30 am – Meet our Team at Kasara St. And move towards the base village in Jeep (10 seater Sumo)

03:30 am – Reach Base village, and take some rest (Pune and Kasara batch will reach at same time)

05:00 am – Wake up call, freshen up, gear up for the trek

05:30 am – Breakfast/tea to start our day.

06:30 am – Introduction round, brief on rules and regulations to be followed by everyone on the event. Enjoy trekking; at a 4ft deep water patch approx. 30m length, descending on the rock patches, rappelling 50ft. down on a rock patch, etc. All this only adds to the thrill of the whole exploration.

06:00 pm – Reach campsite. Refresh, relax and enjoy the sunset.

08.00 pm – Settle down for dinner followed by the campfire.

10:00 pm – Stories, sharing experiences, fun-filled chit-chats and lots more. Take rest for the day relaxing under the sky; watching stars.

Day 3 – Sunday

05:00 am – Wake up, get fresh and have breakfast at the campsite

07:00 am – Start trekking towards Dehne in a cool pleasant morning to beat the heat.

09:30 am – Reach Dehne take some rest.

10:30 am – Move towards Asangaon in a private/public transport.

11:30 am – Catch Mumbai local from Asangaon railway station.

01:30 pm – Reach Mumbai with a promise to meet soon.

Things to Carry :

  • Luggage packed in big good trekking rucksack.
  • Complete spare set of extra clothes & socks if required.
  • Water bottle (2-3 litres) compulsory
  • Electral/ Glucon-d energizers and personal Medicine.
  • A sweater/warmwear, Wear comfortable clothings during treks (full sleaves).
  • Good trekking/sports shoes (sandles, chappals, floaters not permitted).
  • Torch with Extra pair of Batteries (must) during night trek.
  • Camera, Binocular (Optional)
  • Identity proof (must).                                                                                                                                  Toiletries (Napkin, facewash, tissue paper etc.).
  • Cap, goggles, sunscreen, moisturizer, mosquito repellent etc. Sleeping bag or light weight blanket / mat / bedsheet.(Rentals available on demand) if  required.

 

Refunds And Cancellation Policy :

• If cancellations are made 15 days before the start date of the trip, 5% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.

• If cancellations are made 7-15 days before the start date of the trip, 40% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.

• If cancellations are made within 0-7 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.

• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.

Advisory :

  • Pay attention to the tour leaders or instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound experience.
  • Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the tour.                                                   No Smoking during the trekking or other adventure activity.
  • Roaming during the nights is not permitted without our permission.
  • This is Adventure related activity, means you are away from comfort zone .

  • Wear good trekking shoes & clothing.
  • Due to the monsoon season and various rock patches in this route, we recommend you to please take care while walking / climbing / trekking.
  • Wearing of any valuables, ornaments, jewellery etc. is prohibited. Organizers are not responsible for any accident or compensation in whatsoever manner.
  • You should strictly follow the code of conduct, to avoid troubling our fellow trekkers or other people from our group or outside.
  • Do not misinterpret it as a PICNIC or LEISURE TOUR.
  • We all are going for an adventurous and interesting trekking expedition.
  • Note, this trek route may or may not have any fixed/proper/appropriate washrooms or bathrooms.
